Review: 41114 Party Styling

Jewel the cat wants to look her best for the birthday party she has been invited to! Let’s help her get ready!

This year’s animal sub-theme revolves around a special party! 

The Friends girls are organizing the birthday party for Daisy the rabbit, and lots of cuddly friends are invited!

Box Front

Colorful decorative bunting is added to the basic box art to indicate this is a set from the party sub-theme.

Box Back

The back of this small box is pretty much filled with all the warning messages in 33 different languages. This was not the case with last year’s small animal sets. 

So, the additional product image which was meant to appear on the back of the box was pushed to one of the sides this year. 

Box Side

The box for the North American market has this alternate product image on the back instead of the multilingual warnings.

It’s always fun to see what’s featured in the last few pages of the booklet.

The animals say, “Collect us all!”

This year, the Heartlake City map got a completely new look. 


Sadly, many of the old sets are missing from the new map to focus on what’s currently available.




And here’s what’s in the two bags:


The two red pieces for the balloon are shaped differently. 


There are a couple of nice printed pieces. 


Let me introduce you to the star of this little set!


Jewel is Emma’s cat, and she first appeared in 41013 Emma’s Sports Car.


Isn’t she cute with the party hat?

Let’s keep her busy with a fish and a box of gift while I build the bathtub.


First, we are building the base of the tub. 


With just a few steps, the tub is nearly complete.


The mirror will be attached behind the faucet, facing the other side. 


Let's place the tub onto the turntable!

Now you can swivel the tub whichever way you want! 

Add a few items around the tub to get Jewel in the right mood: the shampoo bottle, the hair brush, the party invitation and the red balloon.


Now that the bath tub has been built, Jewel is ready for a nice warm bath!


After her bath, brush her hair and make her even cuter with a yellow bow or a party hat!


When everything is put together, you will have a few small extra pieces left as usual. Yes, you get an extra party hat for another party guest!


Now, it's time to play with this set!

It’s cute on its own, but it can be fun to combine it with other small animal sets. 

Today, Mia and Emma are watching these animals.


These small sets may be used as add-on sets to what you already have. They look quite nice in front of the pet salon.


Or you can have a huge celebration by combining an animal birthday party and Princess Anna’s birthday party!


This small animal set may not be on top of someone’s wish list, but it’s definitely fun to have some relatively inexpensive sets to collect. 

It’s something kids may be able to buy with their own allowance money. It’s something a parent may buy for his or her child as a reward for being good. 

And this Party Styling set and the other two little sets will definitely be perfect as birthday party favors!
