Build a cute stable for the newborn foal. Bottle feed the foal to help it grow stronger!
The FriendsBricks community wishes to thank TLG’s CEE Team for generous support of this set to review and share with fans.
BOX ART, front and back
The box matches the vet sub-theme with the medical logo and aqua blue highlights. On the front, we can see the foal inside the stable, ready to be taken care of. On the back, we see the foal drinking out of the water trough. And some advertisement for the main set, the Vet Clinic (41085).
BOX CONTENTS
There is one booklet, one lime green 6x6 baseplate, a bag of smaller parts, another with larger parts, and of course, the foal!
And here are all of the pieces included in the set. The quantity seems to match that of the previous collectable animal foil packs. Maybe there are a little more. In any event, a cardboard box is probably friendlier to the environment, so I don't mind at all.
There are some nice parts overall, but few of them stand out as must-haves for this particular set. The aqua blue baby bottle is new and also appears in the Bunny and Babies set (41087). The 3x4 medium azure roof tile is also new and appears in the Vet Clinic set (41085).
But there's the baby horsey of course! Here is a closer look. The foal already existed in white from the small set Olivia's Newborn Foal (41003) and in tan from the Sunshine Ranch (41039). We now have a brown one!
LET'S BUILD!
This is a pretty easy set to build, with not that many very small parts. We start with the water trough along with a few hay bricks!
And onto the stable with clips to attach brush and baby bottle, a cute fence, water faucet. Finish off with a flowerful rooftop! Only two spare parts, fewer pieces to lose for small children!
And here is the whole set with foal quenching its thirst.
THOUGHTS
I wouldn't recommend this set to hard core builders for lack of special, rare or unique parts. It's not a question of size, even the Bunny and Babies (41087) and Puppy Training (41088) sets have new unique pieces in magenta!
But these small Veterinary sets are great to give someone you love a present other than for special events, like birthdays. Because of the size, they're also good to introduce Lego Friends to younger children. You won't need a big budget to collect all or most sets from the vet sub-theme (at least for now!) and can create a wonderful veterinary base.
Personally, I'm not the animal freak, the only ones I like are made of plastic and live in Heartlake City! But this is great for animal lovers, and I know there are many of you!
