Ice Cream Stand Review

Ice Cream Stand Review
by Kristel

What better way to cool down in the scorching summer heat than a cool ice cream from Emma?

The FriendsBricks community wishes to thank TLG’s CEE Team for generous support of this set to review and share with fans.

The front of the polybag shows the build, with Emma inviting you to take the ice cream:

The back of the polybag gives us another look at Emma and a bunch of fine print. I wonder if anyone actually reads those warnings as part of their decision-making process?

Inside the polybag is one loose, folded instruction sheet and the parts.
There is no parts list for each step, but it’s not an issue given the relatively simple build.

The back of the instruction sheet reminds us of the other great sets that we should buy!

Here are the parts:

For a small set, this polybag has a nice selection of parts.  There aren’t any parts here that are unique to the set, although the double cheese slope in bright Pink and the Tan ice cream cone were first introduced in 2013 in this and other Friends sets.

Emma, who is responsible for running the ice cream stand, wears a Medium Lavender top with flower
pattern, Dark Blue skirt and Medium Lavender sandals.  This is the same as the Emma from the Butterfly Beauty Shop (3187), Car (30103) and the Summer Riding Camp (3185).

Only a few spares from this smaller set.  Mind you, as a percentage of total parts, it is actually significant!

Overall, this is a cute little set with a nice selection of parts.  The only thing I don’t like about this set is the double cheese slope on the near end of the cart roof.  I think this should have been a normal 1x2 slope instead of a cheese slope.  But, it's LEGO, so we have the option to change it if we want!

Note: Brickset and BrickLink were use to verify the set information.
