Stephanie’s New Born Lamb
Set #41029
78 pieces
9.99USD / 15.99AUD
Released 2014
There's a lot to do when you've got a new born lamb to look after. Let's have a closer look as we help Stephanie with her new charge.
The FriendsBricks community wishes to thank TLG’s CEE Team for generous support of this set to review and share with fans.
The front of the box shows the various components of the set:
The back of the box shows highlights the key play features:
Inside the box is one loose instruction booklet, a 4x10 tan plate, two parts bags and a bag of Medium Azure accessories. As you can see above, the instruction booklet was folded in the box. I tried to smooth it out by folding it the other way, but wasn't able to make it better.
The instructions are easy to follow for even the younger fans with parts lists for each step, as shown in this page from the instruction booklet below.
Here is the full complement of parts: The set is small, but has a great selection of parts, including the Medium Lavender cupboard with trans-Blue door, Medium Lavender tub (unique to this set), and Magenta bricks and roof tiles. The accessories pack is the one that is common to the animal based set, with an assortment of Medium Azure brushes, spray bottle, bows and award ribbons.
Let’s take a closer look at Stephanie and the lamb: Stephanie wears a very cute plaid shirt, which is the first time we’ve seen this shirt, with a Dark Purple skirt, the same one as she is seen wearing to Heartlake High (41005). I agree with Toni here - farm work really needs shorts or pants!
I find the lamb to be quite adorable, even though its smile is a little awkward looking (it’s not just my poor photography skills).
Only a few spares from this smaller set.
Overall, I really like this set as it is a fun little build and has a great selection of parts. I think the little milk bottles are just adorable and cleverly done! I’m also quite fond of the lamb now despite its somewhat awkward looking smile.
I didn’t understand what the tap was for, but the description on LEGO.com’s shop at home site explains that there is a tap for the bath. This might have made more sense if it was more like the one from Olivia’s Newborn Foal (41003). Which reminds me, why is it “New Born” for the lamb, but “Newborn” for the foal?
Also, this set has the same colour scheme and style as the Sunshine Ranch (41039) and looks like it would be a perfect extension to the barn!
Note: All exclusive parts mentioned in the colours noted were applicable at the time this review was posted. Parts may be available in other colours and sets after the post of this review. TLG and BrickLink were use to verify this information.
