Mia's Lemonade Stand Review
by Toni
Mia has a lemonade stand! Grab a glass of lemonade, have a cookie or taste a pastry. Put Mia's helmet on and help her zoom on her scooter to her next activity. Let's take a look at Mia's Lemonade Stand.
The FriendsBricks community wishes to thank TLG's CEE Team for generous support of this set to review and share with fans.
The front of the box shows Mia ready to serve some lemonade. The art shows a
neighborhood and Mia appears to be set up in a small park, or maybe a grassy
area on a cul-de-sac.
The back of the box, as usual, shows some of the playability of the set. Go Mia go!
Inside the box we get a large bag, a small bag, and an instruction booklet.
People say there's nothing but pink and purple in Friends sets! Pfft. This has a nice
amount of medium nougat, lime green, and yellow. We also get some more of the
1x1 round tiles with the cookie print. It is one of my favorite new pieces. The other
is the new inverted dome that's been mentioned in previous reviews.
Exclusive to this set:
The set is really neat. Mia looks great on the scooter. The chair is a simple build,
but works perfectly. The box of lemons and limes is a nice detail, and uses an
inverted 2x3 slope to prop it up. I think a 1x1 round plate or tile would have been
more realistic in size, but the 1x1 round cylinders work too. The stand itself has
everything you need: a pitcher, cups, a juicer, pastries and cookies. There's even a
nice vase with flowers. It's another nice use of the inverted dome.
Mia's shirt is very pretty, and currently the only other set it appears in is Stephanie's
Bakery Stand polybag. This set may be the only way to get this top, as polybags
are hard to find.
I like the green and the pink together. The design on the shirt has a butterfly and
a flower, and is quite lovely.
There are 16 extra pieces. This includes an extra visor and a cookie. This turns
the set into $0.08USD per piece, which is a good deal.
In my opinion, this is one the of the better small sets so far. The scooter is cute, and there's
a decent amount of playability available. Some of the other small sets seem like they are
better for display, but I could see kids really enjoying this one. Who doesn't love a lemonade
stand? I like this because I was never able to have my own as a kid. This set might not be for
many adults, but they will sure love the scooter.
Note: All exclusive parts mentioned in the colors noted were applicable at the time this review was posted.
Parts may be available in other colors and sets after the post of this review. Brickset and Bricklink were used as a tool to verify this information.
